![]() In the track recorded today the Erbe-verb is mainly the heavenly/angel/ambient texture you start to hear from about 1:43 onwards to the end. Vcoadsr wrote:Got pretty inspired using the Erbe-verb the other day so decided to go for another track using it for interesting textures. K, I'm off to baptize my overeverbed and resonated ears with as clean and dry a sesh as I can put out, maybe a deadpan grime sesh towel. ![]() Arguably worth the price of the Z-DSP alone. ![]() If you're looking for reverb though, be sure to consider Halls of Valhalla, I like it far better than I originally thought I would. I could go on and on about my thoughts on modular digital reverbs but I gotta say it clearly needs playing for full understanding, but I will have to settle for such truly rad demos as have already been posted. So much of a reverb is how it meshes with the other sounds you're using, and although I know it "self-oscillates", but I don't see myself using that very often. Which is honestly weird because it seems pretty obvious the Erbe is hands down "better" quality audio. I know, I know, "it can sound lush, too!", but from what I've heard so far it can't do, "so lush you thought were peaking on acid with a thousand unholy monks solemnly chanting, humming, and screaming tongues as they echo through the unendingly complex contours and climes of the holy mountains you've tele-pilgramaged to." I gotta say if there's one thing Erbe-Verb seems, it is fun. Not only is this 'just my opinion', it's also an opinion I may not hold onto much longer after such sweet and fun demos. Especially especially MorphageneAnd compatibility would be good.DAMN that sounds great! One of the most seriously f'n nifty modules I've looked at, but I have to say from the sounds of just the module as a reverb alone and ignoring the immensity of bells/whistles, the Z-DSP with Halls of Valhalla just blows it out of the water for me for the "plain ol" (ha) LONG stereo reverb.24-bit / 48kHz codec, high-performance DSP of 32-bit operation, and efficient power consumption.CV Out acts on other modules in the system.Pre-Delay, reverse, and modulation speed are all via TEMPO input Can be synchronized to an external clockIs.Low and high range cut / emphasis is possible. The Tilt control acts as an EQ-like effect on reverb sounds. The sound absorption rate (ABSORB control) of the reverb wall, the Depth control of the modulation, and the Speed control of the modulation allow you to do resonance, chorus-like Doppler effects, and sounds like shimmers.Reverse mode can be controlled by buttons or gate signals.pre delay 7ms -500ms widerangeCan be set.The decay settings can be set continuously and can be set to an infinite feedback area. The reverb size is from "coffin" to "sky". ![]() Mono-in, stereo (or mono) output, and dry signals are analog.Like Echophon, this module is coded by Soundhack's Tom Erbe.
